Mauricio Pochettino has officially welcomed his trusted coaching team to the U.S. national soccer team as he steps in for Gregg Berhalter. Pochettino's appointments include Jesús Pérez as the first assistant coach, Miguel 'Miki' D'Agostino as assistant coach, Antonio 'Toni' Jiménez as goalkeepers coach, and his son, Sebastiano Pochettino, as sports scientist.

Pochettino's career journey includes coaching stints at renowned clubs like Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea. Appointed by the U.S. Soccer Federation last month, he has now brought his team along, in accordance with his introduction plan, just in time for the 2026 World Cup preparations.

The national team commenced training on Monday, gearing up for friendlies against Panama and Mexico. Meanwhile, Vincent Cavin, who joined as Berhalter's assistant last December, has departed, while Gianni Vio remains part of the setup as the set piece coach. Additionally, Silvia Tuya Viñas has been recruited as the strength and conditioning coach after her tenure with Levante Badalona's women's team.
