The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the extension of its advanced Athlete Monitoring System (AMS) to state associations. The initiative, supported by the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, is designed to help players achieve peak performance capabilities.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah communicated to state units that a specialized team from the Centre of Excellence will soon assist them in utilizing the AMS effectively. Notably, the BCCI will cover the costs, making the system accessible to all state associations. The AMS offers comprehensive data on athlete risk, readiness, injury, and fitness, providing invaluable insights to coaches and administrators.

VVS Laxman, head of the Centre of Excellence, highlighted the long-term vision of the AMS program, aiming to keep detailed records of players' performance and progress over the years. This comprehensive monitoring system is expected to standardize player management, leading to better outcomes on and off the field.
