Ravindra Jadeja couldn't contain his ecstatic emotions after securing 300 wickets in Test cricket on Monday, deeming the achievement a forever cherished moment.

Joining an elite club, Jadeja became the seventh Indian bowler to reach this milestone during the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh, aligning himself with legends like Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev. "It's special when you achieve something for India. I've been playing Tests for 10 years and finally I've reached this milestone," Jadeja told the host broadcaster post-match.

Hailing his transformation from a white-ball specialist to a red-ball maestro, bowling coach Morne Morkel called Jadeja a 'magician with the ball.' The 35-year-old also completed a rare double of 300 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket, becoming the second quickest to achieve this, following Ian Botham. Looking ahead, Jadeja hopes to secure a 2-0 series sweep against Bangladesh by taking the remaining eight wickets needed on the final day. "Now, it's time to take the eight wickets and chase the target, hopefully it won't be a big total," he added.
