Second-half substitute Hemneichung Lunkim scored a brace, leading India to a commanding 3-0 win over Maldives in the SAFF U17 Championships on Tuesday.

Samson Ahongshangbam opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by Lunkim's goals in the 74th and 89th minutes. India, having already advanced with a previous 1-0 win against Bangladesh, topped Group A with six points.

India is set to play against the runners-up from Group B (Bhutan, Pakistan, or Nepal) in the first semi-final on September 28. India's head coach Ishfaq Ahmed rotated several players, bringing in Karish Soram, Rishi Singh, and Malngianng for their match against Maldives.
