The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has filed a police complaint with Delhi authorities after its president, Kalyan Chaubey, received threatening calls from an unknown individual, ANI reports.

AIFF Secretary General Anilkumar Prabhakaran lodged the complaint on Thursday at the Dwarka Police Station, calling for the registration of an FIR against the unidentified caller. According to the complaint, the AIFF office received the menacing call on September 10, between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm, which was answered by Kritika Rattan, an office executive. The individual issued threats to the AIFF president and his family, warning him to be cautious about his decisions and actions.

The caller also claimed to know the whereabouts of Chaubey's family in Kolkata and instructed Rattan to inform the senior management of AIFF. Despite Rattan's efforts to identify the caller, the individual hung up before revealing any information. This unsettling event unfolds in a challenging year for Chaubey, who has faced corruption allegations from AIFF's former Head of Legal, Nilanjan Bhattacharjee. Chaubey has denied all allegations, asserting that he has only used AIFF resources for official purposes.
