Tamil Nadu Quartet Sets New National Record at Senior National Aquatic Championships
The Tamil Nadu team set a new national record in the men's 4x100m medley relay at the Senior National Aquatic Championships, clocking 5.66s. Other notable performances included Akash Mani's team from Karnataka, Aneesh S Gowda's victory in the 1500m freestyle, and Hashika Ramachandra's third gold in the women's 200m butterfly.
The quartet of Nithik Nathella, Danush Suresh, B Benedicton Rohit, and Adhithya Dinesh created a new national record for Tamil Nadu in the men's 4x100m medley relay at the Senior National Aquatic Championships on Thursday, clocking 5.66 seconds.
The record-setting event saw the team surpass the previous record of 3:47.22 seconds set by the Services Sports Control Board in 2022.
Another notable moment came from Karnataka's team of Akash Mani, Vidith S Shankar, Kartikeyan Nair, and Srihari Nataraj, who broke the previous record with a timing of 3:46.09 seconds but finished second.
