Injuries Sideline Afghan Stars Ahead of Key Matches

Afghanistan's cricket team has been hit by injuries ahead of their upcoming match against New Zealand. Bowler Naveed Zadran will miss next week's test due to a side strain injury, while allrounder Rashid Khan is sidelined with a back injury, according to the Afghan cricket board.

Zadran, who has taken nine wickets in his two tests, is expected to be out for three to four weeks. The board is hopeful he will recover in time for this month's One-Day International series against South Africa. Khan's absence is also a significant blow to the team's lineup.

The Afghan cricket team, which plays its home matches outside the country, will face New Zealand in a one-off test in India starting Monday. They will then play three one-day internationals against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates starting September 18.
