Nagal, who recently suffered a first-round exit at the US Open, posted on social media that he has been advised by doctors to rest for the next two weeks. This injury also forced his withdrawal from the US Open doubles event. He expressed deep disappointment but emphasized the need to listen to his body to avoid worsening the injury and to prepare for future competitions.
As a result of Nagal's withdrawal, reserve player Aryan Shah has been promoted to the main team, with Manas Dhamne on standby. Additionally, former national champion Ashutosh Singh has been appointed as the new coach of the national team.
