Victor Osimhen Joins Galatasaray on Loan: All the Details

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian international, has joined Galatasaray on a loan deal from Napoli. Galatasaray will pay him six million euros for the 2024-2025 season. Napoli retains an option to extend his contract until 2027. He was a target for several top clubs recently.

Victor Osimhen has signed for Turkish club Galatasaray on loan from Serie A side Napoli, the two clubs announced on Wednesday.

Galatasaray will pay six million euros ($6.65 million) net to the 25-year-old Nigeria international for the 2024-2025 season, the club confirmed in an official statement. Napoli added that the agreement will last until the end of June.

Osimhen, who extended his contract with Napoli last December through to 2026 with a reported release clause of 130 million euros, was a target for multiple clubs during the recent transfer window. Media reports had linked Saudi side Al-Ahli and Premier League club Chelsea with moves for the striker. In a strategic move, Napoli has secured an option to extend Osimhen's contract until 2027. The 23-man Serie A squad for the current campaign does not include Osimhen, with Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku seemingly taking his place. ($1 = 0.9026 euros)
