Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School of Meghalaya created a major upset by defeating the defending champions Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, 1-0 during a Group F match in the 63rd Subroto Cup junior boys international tournament on Tuesday. Banganson scored the deciding goal for the Meghalaya team.
In another notable match, Mamta Modern School from New Delhi clinched their first victory of the tournament, showcasing their strength with a dominant 4-1 win over Tydale Biscoe School, Srinagar.
Further results include various schools from across different regions exhibiting remarkable performances. Notably, the Group B match saw RMSA High School, Mizoram achieve a 7-1 victory over Govt.
