The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has reported a remarkable 94% decrease in dengue cases compared to the previous year, according to data released on Friday.

The figures reveal that New Delhi recorded only seven dengue cases up until August 29 this year, a sharp decline from the 131 cases reported during the same period last year.

The data also indicated that while there was one case of Chikungunya reported last year by August 29, there have been no cases so far this year. Similarly, one case of Malaria was reported both this year and last year. The NDMC has issued 1,679 notices and 104 challans in connection with mosquito breeding.
