India's Shuttlers Fall Short at Yonex Taipei Open

India's Saneeth Dayanand and Tarun Reddy were unable to qualify for the men's singles main draw at the Yonex Taipei Open. They were defeated by Malaysia's Jia Jie Tan and Taipei's Yen-Chen Ting, respectively. Additionally, Thailand and Taipei pairs defeated Indian teams in mixed doubles matches.

India's hopes for a strong showing at the Yonex Taipei Open were dashed as Saneeth Dayanand and Tarun Reddy failed to make the men's singles main draw. The players were defeated in the qualification round on Tuesday.

Saneeth lost a close match to Malaysia's Jia Jie Tan, which ended 21-16, 20-22, 21-4. Host player Yen-Chen Ting eliminated Tarun in a tightly contested match, finishing 23-21, 21-16. Saneeth had earlier secured a victory over Pusri Nachakorn with scores of 22-20, 21-15.

In other matches, Taipei's Kai Cheng defeated Aryaman Tandon 21-18, 22-20. In mixed doubles, Thailand's Teeraratsakul Pakkapon and Muenwong Phataimas defeated India's Ashith Surya and Amrutha Parmuthesh 21-13, 21-19. The pair of Min Hao Tseng and Shan Pei Hsieh from Taipei defeated Ayush Raj Gupta and Sruti Swain 21-8, 21-14 in their qualification round.
