In a thrilling opening match of the inaugural Women's Delhi Premier League T20, East Delhi Riders Women edged out South Delhi Superstarz Women by 11 runs, thanks to Pratika Rawal's crucial 41-run knock and a disciplined bowling display at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.

Rawal combined with Saachi to post a resilient 50-run partnership, enabling East Delhi Riders to set a target of 114/8 in their allotted 20 overs. The bowling unit, spearheaded by Madhu and Saachi who each picked up two wickets, restricted South Delhi Superstarz to 103/6, sealing the win.

South Delhi Superstarz's chase stumbled early with the loss of Nishika Singh and struggled throughout the innings with significant contributions from Tanisha Singh and Shweta Sehrawat. Despite a late surge by Riya Soni, the East Delhi Riders held their nerve, with Madhu dismissing Soni in the final over, ensuring East Delhi Riders' victory in their league opener.
