Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, expressed deep dissatisfaction with his performance after qualifying sixth in his final Italian Grand Prix with Mercedes on Saturday. He described his performance as completely unacceptable.

Set to move to Ferrari next season, Hamilton will be replaced by 18-year-old Italian Kimi Antonelli, whose promotion was announced on Saturday. Despite leading in earlier qualifying phases, Hamilton failed to maintain his top form at Monza.

Hamilton aimed for a record sixth Italian win but acknowledged his race win prospects are slim. Teammate George Russell, who out-qualified him for the 12th time this season, will start third. In his remarks, Hamilton also expressed emotions over Antonelli's announcement and his eventual departure from the team he joined in 2013.
