Jurrien Timber has made a triumphant return to the Netherlands squad after a long-term knee injury. Coach Ronald Koeman announced his inclusion in the 23-man team for the upcoming Nations League games, starting next week.

The Arsenal defender, who suffered a severe knee injury at the beginning of last season, returned to action in April but missed out on the European Championship. Timber is one of four players added to the squad for the Nations League Group A3 matches against Bosnia & Herzegovina in Eindhoven and Germany at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.

Timber's selection marks his return to international play since March 2023, when the Dutch lost 4-0 to France. His twin brother Quinten, a Feyenoord player, and Jorrel Hato from Ajax are also making their way back into the squad. Alongside them, goalkeeper Nick Olij replaces Justin Bijlow. Coach Koeman has also made several changes, with key players like Steven Bergwijn, Memphis Depay, and Daley Blind absent from the roster.
