PBG Bengaluru Smashers aim to extend their unbeaten run and edge closer to the playoffs as they prepare to face Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 debutants Jaipur Patriots at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Thursday. Bengaluru, with two wins under their belt, is currently second on the table, trailing leaders Ahmedabad SG Pipers by a single tie. In contrast, Jaipur Patriots hold the fourth spot, boasting one win and one loss so far.

The Bengaluru team, led by captain Alvaro Robles, has displayed dominance in UTT 2024 with victories in both their ties, claiming eight of the ten matches contested, and 21 of 30 games played. Keen to secure their first playoff berth after last year's near miss, the Smashers are expected to feature star paddler Manika Batra, who recently triumphed over giant-slayer Ayhika Mukherjee, alongside USA's Lily Zhang and the assertive Jeet Chandra.

Meanwhile, Jaipur Patriots come into the match buoyed by a win against U Mumba TT. The debutants have had a balanced run, securing one win out of two ties, five matches out of ten, and 15 games out of 30 played. The clash promises an exciting showdown between South Korean paddler Cho Seung-min and Robles. Additionally, Suthasini Sawettabut, Snehit SFR, and Nithyashree Mani aim to build on their strong performances in the upcoming tie.
