Eddie Howe Addresses Kieran Trippier Departure Rumors
Newcastle United's manager Eddie Howe dismissed reports about Kieran Trippier wanting to leave the club. Howe praised Trippier's professionalism and confirmed he remains a key player. Despite rumors linking Trippier to Everton, Howe assured that Trippier is preparing for Newcastle's upcoming match against Bournemouth.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has voiced his disbelief over speculation that defender Kieran Trippier is considering a departure from the Premier League club. The rumors started swirling following Trippier's return from England duty at Euro 2024.
"He's trained really well since coming back from the Euros, having had only two weeks of training," Howe told reporters on Friday. "The situation remains business as usual; Trippier has been exemplary in his professionalism." Howe emphasized the player's importance to the squad, dismissing reports of imminent departure.
Trippier, who featured in six of England's seven Euro 2024 games, has been linked with a move to Everton. However, Howe insists he is focused on Newcastle's next match against Bournemouth. The Magpies are set to face Bournemouth after their recent 1-0 victory over Southampton.
