Rohan Dhole Patil from Pune set the pace at the Chennai Pro Championship 2024 with a six-under 66, sharing the lead with Gurugram's Manu Gandas at nine-under 135 after day two at the TNGF Cosmo Golf Course. Gandas scored a steady 68 to maintain his co-lead for the second consecutive day. Dhruv Sheoran, also from Gurugram, carded a bogey-free 67 to secure third place at eight-under 136.

Chandigarh's Bishmadpal Singh, in his maiden event of the year, made headlines by setting a new course record with an eight-under 64, placing him tied fourth at seven-under 137, alongside Nepal's Subash Tamang who scored 69. The halfway cut was determined at one-over 145 and 55 professionals made it through.

Rohan Dhole Patil's performance fluctuated; after a stellar start with three birdies, he faced a challenging bogey stretch but recovered impressively with a birdie spree and an eagle finish. Fellow leader Manu Gandas overcame early setbacks, rallying with five birdies to stay in contention. Bishmadpal Singh's outstanding performance, boosted by precise approach shots and effective putting, catapulted him up the leaderboard. Local Chennai professional S Prasanth was the sole representative to make the cut, standing tied 42nd.
