Italian Serie A club Lazio has officially secured Senegalese international Boulaye Dia on an initial two-year loan from relegated Salernitana, with an option to make the transfer permanent, the club announced late Friday.

Although financial specifics were not disclosed, Italian media speculated the transfer's value at approximately 12 million euros ($13.23 million) for the 27-year-old forward.

New head coach Marco Baroni faces the challenge of restructuring the squad after the departure of several key players, including long-time striker Ciro Immobile. Lazio's Serie A campaign kicks off on Sunday against Venezia.
