The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 Player Auction wrapped up successfully on August 16, 2024, with a thrilling two-day event. Tamil Thalaivas made the biggest splash by acquiring Sachin for a record Rs 2.15 crore, marking him as the most expensive buy of the auction.

According to a PKL press release, a total of 118 players were bought by the 12 competing franchises. Ajith V Kumar dominated Category C, being snapped up by Puneri Paltan for Rs 66 lakh, while Bengaluru Bulls secured Jai Bhagwan for Rs 63 lakh.

Arjun Rathi became the most expensive player in Category D, acquired by Bengal Warriorz for Rs 41 lakh. Other notable bids included Mohd. Amaan's addition to Puneri Paltan for Rs 16.2 lakh and Stuwart Singh's acquisition by U Mumba for Rs 14.2 lakh.

Anupam Goswami, Head Sports Leagues, Mashal Sports, and League Commissioner, expressed delight at another successful auction. 'I'm extremely happy to see all franchises building well-balanced squads, promising a highly competitive PKL Season 11,' Goswami stated.

Sachin, the star raider, commented on joining Tamil Thalaivas, 'I did not expect my bid to be so high. It feels really good to join the Tamil Thalaivas. This is certainly a life-changing moment for me.'

Meanwhile, Pawan Sehrawat, who returned to Telugu Titans for Rs 1.725 crore, shared his resolve to complete 'unfinished business' with the franchise, underlining his confidence in new Head Coach Krishna Kumar Hooda.
