Winger Marika Koroibete is poised to make his season debut for Australia against South Africa in Perth on Saturday, marking the second round of the Rugby Championship. The team, coached by Joe Schmidt, has undergone five changes following a 33-7 defeat to the world champions last weekend.

Koroibete, twice awarded the John Eales Medal for Australia's best test player, returns to the squad after not being called for July tests and will take the injured Filipo Daugunu's place on the left wing. Uncapped players Max Jorgensen and Seru Uru are also on the bench, ready for potential debuts.

Among other key changes, Angus Bell is back from injury, taking the loosehead prop position, while Josh Nasser replaces Matt Faessler at hooker. New additions also include Angus Blyth in the second row and Nic White at scrumhalf. Hooker Billy Pollard and flanker Tom Hooper join Uru on the bench.

Coach Schmidt emphasized the need for greater combativeness and precision after last week's physically demanding test, praising his players' work ethic and readiness for the challenge ahead.
