Australian spinner Adam Zampa is eyeing a return to Test cricket despite having last played a red-ball game in November 2012. Speaking on the Final Word podcast, Zampa shared his optimism, citing recent strong performances in first-class matches as indicators of his readiness.

Zampa has been a pivotal part of Australia's white-ball squad, contributing significantly to their record sixth ODI World Cup victory. However, his history in first-class cricket remains limited, with only two appearances for New South Wales since 2019. Yet, Zampa believes he has a realistic shot at making a comeback for Australia.

Despite boasting a 46.98 bowling average in the longest format, Zampa is determined to seize any opportunity that comes his way, particularly with upcoming tours to the subcontinent. Currently playing for Oval Invincibles in The Hundred, Zampa has taken 13 wickets and aspires to continue playing for Australia, prioritizing national success over franchise commitments.
