In an interim decision delivered on August 3, 2024, the AIFF Players' Status Committee concluded that player Anwar Ali's termination of his loan agreement with Mohun Bagan Super Giant was made 'without a just cause'. Additionally, the player and the club have until August 8, 2024, to submit further replies focused on compensation and other consequences stemming from the termination. After receiving all responses, the committee will schedule another hearing to resolve the compensation issue and related matters.
