London Olympics bronze winner Yogeshwar Dutt is confident that wrestling will once again secure India a medal at the Olympic Games, potentially more than one, given the grapplers receive favorable draws.

India's six-member wrestling contingent is set for Paris, with competitions starting on August 5. Only Aman Sehrawat qualified in the men's category, but Indian women athletes succeeded in five out of six Olympic weight divisions, missing only the 62kg division. India has consistently won wrestling medals since the 2008 Beijing Games, with Sushil Kumar setting the precedent with a bronze.

'A lot will depend on the draw. If India get a favorable draw, then I am expecting three medals,' Dutt told PTI Videos at an AIFF event. He added, 'In the last four consecutive Olympics, we got medals from Wrestling. So I hope, wish & pray the fifth time in a row, wrestling will bring medals for the nation. I wish all the wrestlers all the very best. I think they are well-prepared.' Highlighting wrestling's contributions to India's Olympic success, Dutt pointed out that wrestling has garnered seven medals, making it India's leading individual Olympic sport. Now a BJP leader, Dutt also expressed high expectations for the Indian Olympians, predicting they could win over 10 medals overall.
