NOTTINGHAM, England, July 19 (Reuters) - Kavem Hodge and Alick Athanaze led a West Indies revival as they finished a sunny second day of the second test on 351-5, 65 runs behind England at Trent Bridge on Friday.

Hodge made a fluent 120, his first test century, and Athanaze 82, the pair sharing a fine partnership of 175 as West Indies took advantage of good batting conditions to frustrate England.

In response to England's total of 416, West Indies lost Mikyle Louis for 21, captain Kraigg Brathwaite for 48, and Kirk McKenzie for 11 during the morning session. Mark Wood's rapid spell, including one delivery clocked at 97.1 miles per hour, was a highlight.

Hodge received a lifeline when Joe Root spilled a catch, and he took full advantage, while Athanaze was nearing his first century before being dismissed by Stokes. Hodge was eventually trapped lbw by Chris Woakes. Jason Holder and Joshua Da Silva will resume on the third day, aiming for a West Indies lead. England won the first match of the three-test series by a significant margin.
