Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen is set to leave Haas at the end of the season, according to an announcement made by the team on Thursday. His contract is due to expire, marking the end of his tenure with the American team.

The 31-year-old Magnussen has been a notable figure at Haas, competing in his seventh season with them and starting 135 grand prix races over two separate periods—from 2017 to 2020 and again from 2022 to 2024. He has earned a commendable ninth place in the drivers' standings for Haas in 2018 and accumulated five points this season.

Haas has yet to confirm who will replace Magnussen, but rumors suggest that Alpine driver Esteban Ocon might make the move, with Magnussen potentially taking Ocon's seat at Alpine. The situation remains fluid, with Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu expressing a desire to continue working with Magnussen in some capacity. Meanwhile, 19-year-old British driver Oliver Bearman has signed a multiyear deal with Haas starting from 2025, taking the seat of German driver Nico Hulkenberg, who will join Sauber.
