Indian men's hockey team forward Abhishek has expressed that the mental conditioning camp in Switzerland under the guidance of renowned adventurer Mike Horn has been vital in preparing the team for the high-stakes Paris Olympics. After completing a three-day camp at Horn's base, the team will now head to the Netherlands for practice matches before moving on to Paris.

Expectations are high for the Indian team, especially after their bronze medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics. India will kickstart their Paris Olympics journey against New Zealand in their first Pool B matchup. Abhishek emphasized that the camp was the perfect break from their physical training regimen and it helped strengthen their bond on and off the field.

Having played 74 matches for India since his debut in 2022, Abhishek is all set for his first Olympic appearance. Reflecting on his journey, he shared how achieving this milestone exceeds his family's hopes, particularly highlighting his brother's constant support.
