Green Building Congress 2023: Pioneering Sustainable Futures

The Confederation of Indian Industry's Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) officially launched the 22nd Green Building Congress. Scheduled for mid-November, the event emphasizes sustainable building methods with a particular eye on 'Green Homes' and the quest for net-zero impact.

Chandrashekar Hariharan, IGBC Bangalore Chapter Chairman, highlighted the Congress's long-term effect, fueled by over 12 billion sq. ft. of registered green buildings. 'This gathering is crucial for the green building movement in India,' he stated.

Bengaluru hosts the event after 18 years, coinciding with the World Green Building Council's Asia Pacific Network Meet. This creates a formidable platform for industry experts and policymakers to share valuable insights and drive actionable sustainable strategies.
