The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) has announced Kanika Beniwal as its candidate for the Khinwsar bypoll scheduled for November 13. This decision follows the Congress party's declaration to contest independently, with no alliances.
RLP, led by Jat leader Hanuman Beniwal, was eyeing an alliance with Congress but was left to contest alone when Pradesh Congress Chief Govind Singh Dotasra announced Congress's independent candidacy strategy for all seven seats up for by-elections.
Kanika Beniwal, wife of Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal, steps into the fray after her husband's move to the Lok Sabha vacated the Khinwsar seat. The BJP and other parties have also disclosed their candidates, making for a contested election across several constituencies.
