Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a fierce critique against the Congress party, describing it as a "parasitic party" during a fiery address at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. Modi accused Congress of creating societal discord and undermining national pride by attacking revered institutions.
The Prime Minister also questioned Congress's reluctance to accept electoral outcomes, referencing their reaction to the Haryana polls. Despite exit polls predicting a victory for Congress, the BJP secured 48 out of 90 seats, cementing their third term in the state assembly. Meanwhile, in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress's alliance saw contrasting results with the BJP emerging as the second-largest party.
Modi further charged Congress with deceiving the public and attempting to damage the credibility of national institutions, highlighting past efforts to challenge the Election Commission's integrity. The Commission itself dismissed Congress's allegations of delayed Haryana election results as baseless.
