In a tragic incident at Sitakund Ghat, the wall of the Chitragupta temple collapsed on Saturday, resulting in the death of one labourer and injuring three others. The collapse occurred while they were engaged in road construction nearby, according to police reports.

Kotwali SHO Narad Muni Singh confirmed that the accident took place near the Chitragupta temple when the wall unexpectedly gave way, burying four workers under the debris. Quick action by local residents led to the rescue and transfer of the injured to the Government Medical College.

Pankaj Nishad, 17, was declared dead upon arrival, while Sohanlal Nishad (30), Ramu Nishad (18), and Chhotu Nishad (17) are receiving medical attention. Sohanlal's condition is critical, and he has been referred to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow, police said.
