Bollywood star Rani Mukerji paused her work commitments on Saturday to connect with cancer patients in Mumbai. The actress collaborated with the charity group Cancer Patients Aid Association to observe World Rose Day, which aims to spread cancer awareness and show support for patients and their families.
Mukerji enjoyed a day of joy with several children battling cancer, engaging in conversations and cutting a cake with them. She also accompanied the children on an open bus journey as the Bandra-Worli Sea Link glowed red in solidarity. Photos captured moments from the special day.
During the event, Mukerji spoke with ANI, urging the public to extend unconditional love to cancer patients. "I am grateful to the organizers for inviting me. This initiative allowed me to spend meaningful time with kids fighting cancer. I pray for their recovery and believe more celebrities should join such efforts to bring joy to these heroes," she emphasized.
"We should all endeavor to give our time and love to these children. Our support provides them the strength to fight cancer. I am committed to raising awareness through my platform. If an opportunity arises to be part of a project focusing on this, I will undoubtedly participate," she added. On the film front, the makers of 'Mardaani' hinted at a new chapter of the franchise, marking its ten-year anniversary. (ANI)
