In a distressing incident, twelve people were hospitalized due to a chlorine gas leak at Orient Paper Mill in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district on Saturday evening.

The leak was detected at around 8 pm at the Amlai factory, as confirmed by district collector Harshal Pancholi via a post on X. The factory's management promptly halted the leak, but approximately 20 individuals experienced eye irritation.

A district administration team swiftly arrived at the scene, admitting 12 affected individuals to Shahdol Medical College hospital. The condition of those hospitalized remains stable, and the situation is under close monitoring, according to the collector.
