Heavy rain has caused significant disruption in Himachal Pradesh, resulting in the closure of 50 roads and interruptions to 63 power supply schemes, according to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC).

Jubbarhatti in Shimla recorded 46 mm of rainfall, followed by Mandi with 38.6 mm, Kasauli 35 mm, Ghaghas 30 mm, Sarahan 26 mm, Kandaghat 24.4 mm, and Dharamshala 11.4 mm, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). A yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning was issued for six districts on Wednesday.

Since the beginning of this monsoon season on June 1, the state has received 569.3 mm of rainfall, an 18% deficit from the average of 698.3 mm. Rain-related incidents have claimed 172 lives and left 30 people missing, with the state's losses estimated at Rs 1,327 crore.
