Vietnam faces severe devastation following the rampage of Typhoon Yagi, which has claimed 87 lives so far.

Dubbed the strongest typhoon to hit the country in decades, Yagi unleashed winds of up to 149 kph when it made landfall on Saturday. Despite weakening on Sunday, relentless rainfalls caused catastrophic floods and landslides.

Vietnamese state broadcaster VTV has confirmed that 70 people are still missing and hundreds more are injured, with most casualties attributed to flooding and landslides.
