The death toll in the Transport Nagar building collapse has climbed to eight as rescuers pulled three more bodies from the debris, officials reported on Sunday.
The three-storey building, which housed godowns and a motor workshop, collapsed on Saturday evening, injuring twenty-eight people. Rescue operations are still ongoing, according to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
A senior district administration official confirmed that efforts are focused on ensuring no one remains trapped under the rubble. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals, including Lok Bandhu Hospital, for treatment.
