Typhoon Yagi and its resulting landslides and floods have claimed the lives of at least 35 individuals, with 24 others reported missing in northern Vietnam, according to the disaster management agency on Monday.
The mountainous region of Lao Cai bore the brunt of the tragedy, with 13 lives lost due to landslides and one to a flash flood. Quang Ninh province, which lay in the path of the typhoon, reported six fatalities, as per the agency's report.
