Bisleri Teams Up with Goa State Pollution Control Board for Enhanced Plastic Waste Management

At the Green Goa Summit 2024 held at the Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula, Goa, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. formally exchanged a letter of intent (LOI) with the Goa State Pollution Control Board to bolster plastic waste management in Mormugao, Vasco. The agreement took place in the presence of Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa.
The initiative is aimed at significantly improving waste management practices, particularly targeting plastic waste collection, segregation, and recycling. As part of Bisleri's 'Bottles for Change' CSR initiative, the collaboration also focuses on educating the local community on effective waste management techniques.
Partners in the initiative include the Goa Waste Management Corporation, Mormugao Municipal Council, and local waste management partner Sampurn€arth Environment Solution Pvt. Ltd. The goal is to create a sustainable and cleaner environment while ensuring transparency and accountability through data collection and performance monitoring. The summit also saw Bisleri presenting a manual for schools to teach the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
