The nation's weather service reported the cold front was moving away but warned that showers and thunderstorms could still pose risks. A stronger front is expected to impact the state's western and northern coasts on Sunday night into early Monday.
Emergency authorities issued flood warnings, alerting residents that some properties could be inundated, and roads might become inaccessible. The Tasmania State Emergency Service reported 330 requests for assistance in the past 24 hours.
