BJP's Rajya Sabha member Anil Bonde has ignited a firestorm of controversy by stating that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tongue should be singed for his remarks on the reservation system.
Opposition parties swiftly condemned the statement. The controversy began after Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad announced a bounty for anyone who chops off Gandhi's tongue over the same issue, further inflaming the political climate.
Congress leaders, including Amravati MP Balwant Wankhade and MLA Yashomati Thakur, staged protests, demanding legal action against Bonde for his inflammatory comments.
