Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Wednesday announced a two-year partnership with global fast-food giant McDonald's to standardize and digitize IT operations for over 760 of its restaurants in the Philippines.

As part of the collaboration, TCS will upgrade McDonald's current systems in the Philippines to the cloud, specifically implementing SAP S/4HANA on RISE. This marks TCS's first partnership with McDonald's in the APAC region.

The initiative will enhance GADC's IT framework, yielding better insights, improved decision-making, and optimized performance. TCS will provide app development, automation, data analytics, and AI services to future-proof GADC's processes and support their growth ambitions. Margot Torres, Managing Director at GADC, stated that the SAP S/4HANA implementation will offer greater agility through data-driven insights, enhancing both customer and employee experiences.

McDonald's operates over 42,000 stores globally, 95% of which are owned by independent local business owners. TCS, employing over 5,000 people in the Philippines, saw its shares trading at Rs 4,349.90 apiece on Wednesday, down 3.41% from the previous close.
