In a major boost to Odisha's infrastructure, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched 481 developmental projects totaling Rs 1,151 crore on Saturday. The projects span across various districts and were unveiled during an event celebrating local self-governance day.

The chief minister also presented appointment letters to 27 newly appointed municipal service officers. During his speech, Majhi emphasized the critical role of self-governance in providing essential services to citizens. He called on public representatives to transcend political affiliations for the greater good of fulfilling public expectations.

Majhi urged all elected officials, including councillors, vice-chairpersons, and chairpersons of urban local bodies, to collaborate with municipal administrations in enhancing urban infrastructure. He noted the challenges posed by rapid urbanization in Bhubaneswar and assured that his government remains committed to developing all urban areas in Odisha.
