The United Nations has allocated $100 million to address 10 underfunded humanitarian crises across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East, announced a U.N. spokesperson Friday.

More than a third of the funding is directed toward critical humanitarian operations in Yemen ($20 million) and Ethiopia ($15 million), where populations are severely affected by hunger, displacement, diseases, and climate-related disasters.

Additional funding will support Myanmar ($12 million), Mali ($11 million), Burkina Faso ($10 million), Haiti ($9 million), Cameroon ($7 million), Mozambique ($7 million), and El Nino-impacted regions such as Burundi ($5 million) and Malawi ($4 million). OCHA official Joyce Msuya emphasized the urgent need for increased and sustained donor engagement to effectively address these crises.
