At least one person was killed and six others sustained injuries following Russian shelling of Kostiantynivka, an eastern Ukrainian town, on Thursday, according to the local governor.

Kostiantynivka, located miles away from the frontline, is among the most severely affected cities in the Donetsk region. Donetsk Governor Vadym Filashkin reported the incident in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.
