Ukrainian Shelling in Belgorod: One Dead, Multiple Injuries
Ukrainian forces shelled Russia's Belgorod region, resulting in one death and several injuries, including two seriously wounded children. The attacks, occurring near the Ukrainian border, also damaged properties and vehicles. Medics are considering transferring the injured children to Moscow for further treatment.
Ukrainian forces launched a shelling attack on Russia's southern Belgorod region on Sunday, leaving one person dead and injuring more than a dozen, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed via Telegram.
The fatality occurred in the village of Shagarovka, while three were injured in Shebekino. Another village also faced attacks, with 11 people wounded earlier in the day, including two boys with severe leg injuries now possibly bound for Moscow for medical treatment.
Property damage was extensive, affecting 22 apartments, eight private homes, and over 20 vehicles. This incident follows a pattern of Ukrainian forces targeting Belgorod and nearby areas, further exacerbated by last month's incursion into the Kursk region.
