Tragic Bus Accident in Nepal: Maharashtra Government Initiates Relief Efforts
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported that passengers from Jalgaon were involved in a bus accident in Nepal, killing 14 and injuring 16. The state government is working with Indian authorities to assist survivors and return victims. The bus fell 150 meters into Marsyangdi river while enroute to Kathmandu.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday confirmed that passengers of the bus that plummeted 150 meters into a river in central Nepal were from Jalgaon district. Efforts are underway to bring them back.
On X, Fadnavis expressed condolences for the 14 deaths, stating the state government has contacted the Indian embassy in Nepal.
The bus was traveling from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh to Kathmandu when it veered off the highway. At least 14 died, and 16 were injured among the 43 onboard.
Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil assured continuous coordination with Uttar Pradesh and Indian authorities in Nepal to assist the victims and survivors.
