Trained rescue dogs have been making waves at Levante beach in southern Spain, using their strength and endurance to rescue drowning individuals. Outfitted with special life vests, these Labrador and Newfoundland breeds patrol the beach alongside their handlers.

Dog instructor Miguel Sanchez highlighted the unique abilities of these dogs, noting that 'they can detect currents in the sea which humans can't.' Their endurance and strength far surpass that of most humans.

Newfoundland dogs are particularly notable, capable of swimming for three nautical miles and towing life rafts weighing up to three metric tons or carrying six people. Labradors, on the other hand, can drag 2.4 tons and use their acute sense of smell to locate missing persons.
