Three children were rescued from a school bus trapped in the waterlogged Minto Bridge underpass in northwest Delhi on Tuesday morning, according to officials.
An autorickshaw caught in the same underpass was also safely extricated, with no injuries reported. Swift action by rescue teams prevented any harm.
The infamous Minto Bridge underpass has a history of monsoon-related waterlogging; in July 2020, a man drowned when his mini-truck became stuck. Heavy rains on Tuesday left large parts of Delhi affected, with varying rainfall recorded across different observatories.
