Six people sustained injuries in an early Monday morning blaze at a restaurant in INA market, South Delhi, officials reported.

The fire, which also consumed two nearby fast food joints, was reported from Kerala Restaurant at shop number 211 near INA Metro Station gate number 2 at 3.18 am. Seven fire tenders managed to douse the flames after two hours, according to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).

The injured workers, who were sleeping inside the establishments, sustained burn injuries ranging from 20 to 70 percent. The DFS suspects a short circuit triggered the blaze and further investigations are ongoing.
