A team from the Geological Survey of India (GSI) is actively investigating the aftermath of a recent earthquake in Maharashtra's Hingoli district, officials disclosed on Wednesday.
The three-member GSI team has been conducting geoscientific activities since Monday across the region, including the epicentre at Rameshwar Tanda and Pangara (Shinde) in Kalamnuri tehsil.
The earthquake, registering a magnitude of 4.5, struck on July 10, impacting neighboring areas such as Nanded, Parbhani, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Marathwada and Washim in Vidarbha. There were no casualties or property damage reported. The GSI team's survey is slated to conclude on Thursday, after which they will file their findings.
